Via our ecosystem of carrier partners, Psion Teklogix offers the choice of multiple wireless radios to enable for comprehensive coverage throughout North America.

In addition to offering integrated WWAN radios, Psion Teklogix has developed the capability to add PCMCIA WWAN cards into the second generation WORKABOUT PRO. The advantages of this solution are:

• The ability to instantly swap radios in the field if a radio card becomes defective or a newer model is desired.
• The spares pool of terminals can be reduced by stocking mostly inexpensive radio cards instead of more costly terminals. Competitive terminals with embedded radios require spares dedicated to each WWAN network while WORKABOUT PRO’s without radio can be stocked to be used with any network.
• Network flexibility is created since users can use the radio card from the network that best suits the needs of their location.
