Vocollect Software
Psion Teklogix provides Vocollect’s complete suite of
software products to aide in the system
interface development and deploy-ment to the
installed WMS and provides for the day-to-day
management and system support for the Talkman
®
computers. Included in the integrated solution
are the following software components:
VoiceClient™
The Vocollect VoiceClient is the software that comes
included on
the Talkman® T2/T2x
and T5 wearable computers. It
includes Vocollect’s speech recognition system,
the leading industrial speech recognizer.
Vocollect designed it’s word-based, speaker
dependent speech recognizer specifically for
noisy warehouse and industrial environments.
Because the recognizer system is speaker
dependent, it can support users in any language
and is able to rapidly detect single word
responses with precision and accuracy, while
constantly filtering out and rejecting
background noise of all types. And Vocollect
offers over 12 text-to-speech language options
enabling many users to receive the verbal
commands in their native language.
Talkman Management Software
Vocollect also provides software to manage Talkman
®
terminals and operators. Terminal Manager
provides complete terminal manage-ment
capabilities, including firmware update loading,
software up-dating and troubleshooting. Operator
Manager creates and tracks individual Talkman
operators and their speech recognition profiles.
Psion Teklogix can integrate
the Talkman voice system with virtually any
warehouse management system to provide powerful,
voice-directed applications. There are various
integration options to handle both batch and
online scenarios. Real-time views into
speech-directed application data and operator
activities can be provided as well for fast and
easy data reconciliation, updating and exception
management.
